James was born and raised in Roswell, Georgia, and after completion of high school, he joined
the Army as an AH-64A Apache Helicopter crew chief. His army service took him all over the United States and to Germany and Bosnia Herzegovina in support of NATO. Upon completion of his service, he continued his career as a helicopter mechanic and did this for 30 years. In 2020, he found his passion for real estate, while assisting with a complex family estate situation. He discovered that he enjoyed and was good at navigating the details of the transaction. His attention to detail was a huge asset and fired up his interest in real estate.
In 2004, he moved to Richmond for work and met his wife.
He received his associate’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University.
In his spare time, he enjoys camping in his RV, archery, shooting at the range, using his
smoker, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, Lucy.
Having lived in Church Hill. he has the unique experience with the opportunity of restoring
historic homes in historic districts. He also understands the distinct challenges of buying and selling of real estate in historic districts.
